It is obvious to those who know me that I have a mild addiction to themes.

As a Web publisher, there is nothing more exciting than taking a Drupal or Joomla installation and skinning it. The colors, design, and layout can highlight and "pop" the content. The folks at Themesnap are creating attractive themes at a reasonable rate. A number of months ago I purchased the Efficient Theme for about $90. I installed it immediately but did not work through the installation of the featured areas because of time constraints. The theme uses a few contributed modules and has real style.

I've hesitated in writing this review because even though I am crazy about the looks of the theme, it is not without its short-comings. Specifically, the drop down menu is not working on my installation even though they work on the demo site. Admittedly, this could be a shortcoming of the installation (user error). More annoying are the non-collapsible sidebars. I quit using the theme on an important site because I needed to sidebars to collapse on certain key pages. In spite of the difficulty configuring the theme, the problem with the menu, and the non-collapsible sidebars, I will still purchase Themesnap themes. The quality of the visual elements are unmatched by the other commercial themes. Clearly, Themesnap is focused on the aesthetics of their themes and I appreciate their priority. If you are uncertain if you want to purchase, contact Themesnap and ask if the shortcomings I've listed have been resolved.
